India, France to begin contract negotiations for 26 Rafale-Marine jets this week

India is set to begin official contract negotiations with France this week for the substantial acquisition of 26 Rafale-Marine fighters, a deal valued at over Rs 50,000 crore. The Indian Navy is eager to induct these supersonic jets for its two aircraft carriers promptly, driven by the increasing Chinese threat in the Indian Ocean Region.
